  AKA ~ "Speed Stacks"
Physical education students at Cherokee took part in the 2nd Annual World Sport Stacking (WSSA) "STACK UP!" on Thursday, November 8, 2007.  During the course of the day, each sport stacker "up stacked" and "down stacked" various pyramids of Speed Stack cups in prescribed patterns at lightning speed for at least 30 minutes.  For the second year in a row, Guinness World Records is billing it as the "World's Largest Sport Stacking Event." Sights were set on more than 200,000 stackers participating in a time when Sport Stacking with Speed Stacks explodes in popularity. Sport Stacking has been termed a "track meet for your hands at warp speed. Sport Stacking is an exciting new sport where students up stack and down stack 12 specially designed cups called Speed Stacks in predetermined sequences as fast as they can. Stackers race against the clock and compete in relays. This is a sport that everyone enjoys no matter what age or athletic ability. It's all about hand-eye coordination, action, speed, and lots of fun! Thousands of stackers participated to contribute their Sport Stacking skills from across the United States and around the world in countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom!
